Synthesis of the first gold complex with a central µ4-selenido ligand

Abstract

The first gold complex, [Se(AuPPh3)4](CF3SO3)2, with a µ4-selenido ligand has been prepared; the crystal structure reveals a square pyramidal geometry with short gold–gold interactions.
