Mercury–carbon bond formation promoted by the co-ordinated ligand reaction of a β-diiminate chelate

Abstract

Reaction between [Ni(tmtaa)] and HgBr 2 in dichloroethane afforded the mercury–carbon bonded tetranuclear complex [Ni(tmtaa)HgBr] 2 [Hg 2 Br 6 ] (H 2 tmtaa = 5,14-dihydro-6,8,15,17- tetramethyldibenzo[b,i][1,4,8,11] tetraazacyclotetradecine).
