First metal-encapsulating star polysulfoxide incorporating 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole

Abstract

The first star polysulfoxide 2 is synthesized by selective oxidation of a new hexaaminohexathioether 1, which gives a novel binuclear bis-tripodant species by encapsulating a pair of CuII ions.
