Synthesis of a novel indium–nitrogen cage compound; molecular structure of [(Np)In{µ-(NH)2C6H4}]4(Np = CH2CMe3)
Abstract
Reaction of C6H4(NH2)2-1,2 with In(Np)3(Np = neopentyl = CH2CMe3) affords the tetrameric compound [(Np)In(µ-(NH)2C6H4}]4, which contains five-coordinate indium centres having square-pyramidal geometry and an overall approximate tetrahedral symmetry.
