Reactivity of CS2 towards the anion [Mo2Cp2(CO)3(PPh2)(µ-η2-P2)]; synthesis and charactrisation of [Mo2Cp2(CO)3{µ-η3-Ph2PC(H)SP2S}], a complex containing an unusual CSP2S ring

Abstract

The complex [Mo2Cp2(CO)3(PPh2H)(µ-η2-P2)] is deprotonated at –78 °C by ButLi; subsequent addition of an excess of CS2 affords the novel complex [Mo2Cp2(CO)3[µ-η3-Ph2P[graphic omitted]S}] in good to moderate yield.
