The millimetre-wave spectrum of PH2Br: first detection of a previously unknown molecule

Abstract

The short-lived molecules PH2 79Br and PH281Br are detected for the first time thanks to millimetre-wave spectroscopy allowing determination of accurate rotational and centrifugal distortion constants; these are found to be in good agreement with ab initio predictions.
