New synthetic metals based on a thiadiazole network

Abstract

The charge transfer salts of newly synthesized donor thiadiazolo(ethylenedisulfanyl)diselenadithiafulvalene (DED) exhibit metallic behaviour down to low temperatures with a unique crystal structure and small S[dash dash, graph caption]N distances in addition to an inter-chalcogen network.
