[Co11Te7(CO)10]2–, a novel cobalt telluride cluster anion containing a body-centred pentagonal-prismatic cobalt framework, and [CO4Te2(CO)11], a possible precursor with a metal-deficient pentagonal-planar cobalt frame

Abstract

[Co11Te7(CO)10]2–, an unprecedented undecanuclear cluster anion consisting of a body-centred pentagonal-prismatic cobalt framework completely capped by two µ6 and five µ4 telluride ions, and [Co4Te2(CO)11], a possible tetranuclear precursor, are described.
