New actinide hydrogen transition metal compounds. Synthesis of [K(C12H24O6)][(η-C5Me5)2(Cl)UH6Re(PPh3)2] and the crystal structure of its benzene solvate

Abstract

The title compound is isolated from the reaction of [{U(C5Me5)2(µ-Cl)}3] with [K(18-crown-6)][ReH6(PPh3)2](18-crown-6 = 1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane) and is oxidized by TIBPh4 into the neutral derivative [(C5Me5)2(Cl)UH6Re(PPh3)2]; the 1H NMR spectra reveal that in both complexes, the uranium and rhenium atoms are linked by three bridging hydrides.
