Synthesis and structural characterisation of the first example of a 3, 3′-diphospha-1,1′-biphospholyl ring system; crystal and molecular structure of P4C6But6

Abstract

The Novel 3,3′-diphospha-1,1′-biphospholyl compound P4C5But6, obtained by oxidative coupling of two P2C3But3 anions, has been synthesised and its open structure is contrasted with the cage compounds P5C5But5 and P6C4But4(two isomers).
