Metallaoxetene formation by coupling of carbamoyl and difluorocarbene ligands

Abstract

The reaction of the carbamoyl complex [Fe{C([double bond, length half m-dash]O)NPri2}CF3(CO)2(PPh3)] with potassium hydrotris(pyrazo-1-yl)borate provides the structurally characterized ferraoxetene[Fe{CF2OC(NPri2)}(CO){HB(pz)3}](pz[double bond, length half m-dash]pyrazol-1-yl), presumably via coupling of the carrbamoyl of the carbammoyl ligand with a difluorocarbene intermediate.
