Binary gaseous-diffusion coefficients for tin(II) bromide and for tin(II) iodide in argon

Abstract

The binary gaseous-diffusion coefficients at 1 atm (101 325 Pa) pressure for the systems SnBr2–Ar (575–840 K) and Snl2–Ar (750–970 K) have been determined to be 6.35 × 10–6(T/273.15)1.69 m2 s–1 and 5.16 × 10–6(T/273.15)1.745 m2 s–1, respectively, by modified entrainment. An empirical estimation procedure has been validated using these results.
