The Wagner equation for vapour pressure: obverse and reverse views
Abstract
The Wagner equation for vapour pressure is critically assessed. Its advantages in fitting vapour-pressure data and extrapolative properties are discussed. From observations of regression results for both experimental and synthetic data, however, parameter values for the equation shows it represents a polynomial of infinite degree in temperature, and that the temperature dependence of parameter values arises from the evaluation of the polynomial, i.e. the temperature argument of the Wagner equation.
