Novel preparation of gold(I) carbonyls and nitrosyls in NaY zeolite and their catalytic activity for NO reduction with CO

Abstract

Intrazeolite AuI carbonyls (νCO= 2188 cm–1) and nitrosyls (νNO= 1820 cm–1) are formed by the reductive carbonylation of monolayer-dispersed AuCl3 in NaY cages, which exhibit catalytic activity for NO reduction with CO at 300–373 K.
