Rhodium-catalysed, carbon dioxide-mediated aerobic oxidation of ethers

Abstract

In the presence of carbon dioxide [Rh(NBD)(PMe2Ph)3][BF4](NBD - 2,5-norbornadiene)1 catalyses the aerobic oxidation of ethers to esters with coproduction of formic acid.
