Anion p-band hole generation and annihilation in layered potassium trithiotetracuprate, KCu4S3

Abstract

Topotactic electrochemical reduction of metallic KCu4S3 in Cu+ electrolytes results in the formation of semiconducting KCu5S3via anion p-band hole annihilation in a reversible process.
