Effect of ammonia on carbon monoxide hydrogenation over various metal oxides

Abstract

The effect of ammonia on CO hydrogenation over a number of irreducible metal oxides is to enhance the hydrogenation ability of the oxides due to heterolytic dissociation of the preabsorbed ammonia to form NH2 and H+ species.
