A new tetranucleating tetra-amino-tetra-phenolic macrocyclic ligand and the crystal structure of a Zn4 derivative

Abstract

The macrocyclic tetra-amino-tetra-phenolate ligand L4–, from 2, obtained by borohydride reduction of the corresponding tetra-Schiff's base macrocycle 1, gives a tetra-zinc derivative, [LZn4(OH)(MeCO2)3(MeOH)]·1.5MeOH, Whose X-ray crystal structure is described.
