Photoejection of dioxygen from cobalt porphyrin (η1-azaferrocene)(η1-O2) complexes

Abstract

The visible light irradiation of cobalt porphyrin (η1-azaferrocene)(η1-O2) complexes in toluene at 180–200 K results in the photoejection of triplet oxygen, whereas under the same conditions their η1-pyridine counterparts are photostable.
