Liquid-phase lactonization of butane-1,4-diol into γ-butyrolactone over palladium supported on K-L zeolite

Abstract

Pd0 supported on K-L zeolite suspended in the liquid phase has a high catalytic activity and a high selectivity for the oxidative esterification of butane-1,4-diol into γ-butyrolactone under oxygen at 391 K.
