A mononuclear vanadium(III) thiolate complex: synthesis, structure, and properties of [V{S-2,4,6-Pri3C6H2}3(thf)2]

Abstract

A mononuclear trigonal bipyramidal vanadium(III) complex, [V(tipt)3(thf)2](tipt = 2,4,6-tri-isopropylbenzenethiolate; thf = tetrahydrofuran), has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic susceptibility, u.v.–visible and infrared spectroscopic, and electrochemical measurements.
