Determination of maduramicin ammonium in poultry feedstuffs by high-performance liquid chromatography

Abstract

The determination of the anticoccidial maduramicin ammonium, in broiler feed at the 5 mg kg–1 level, was carried out by derivatisation with dansylhydrazine followed by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. The method has been shown to be accurate, specific, sensitive and rapid.
