Water photodecomposition with two reversible and separable photosystems

Abstract

An aqueous suspension of TiO2 and Ag2O, at pH <7.4 photogenerates O2 reducing Ag2O to Ag; if the pH of the residual product is increased (12.3–12.6) H2 is phtogenerated, while Ag is oxidized to Ag2O.
