NBut(Ar = 2,4,6,-But3c6H2; x = O, S, or Se), the first examples of sterically protected stable metaphosphonimidates, have been synthesized in good yield by the reaction of the iminophosphine ArPNBut with ozone, sulphur, or selenium.
