Reduction of NOx over alkali metal–carbon systems

Abstract

Activated carbon-supported alkali metals above 500 K catalyse the reduction of NOx by carbon and carbon monoxide in the order: Cs >K > Na; tetraethyl-lead does not poison the catalyst.
