Arylamido and aryloxy complexes of nitrosyl[tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borato]molybdenum, some mixed alkoxy/aryloxy and aryloxy/monoalkylamido species, and the structures of [Mo{HB(3,5-Me2C3N2H)3}(NO)I(NHC6H4R-p)](R = Me and OMe)

Abstract

The complexes [Mo{HB(Me₂pz)₃}(NO)I(NHR)][Me₂pz = 3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl; R = Ph, C₁₀H₇(2-naphthyl), C₆H₄X-p where X = Me, Et, OMe, OEt, F, CI, Br, I, CO₂Me, NO₂, or CN], [Mo{HB(Me₂pz)₃}(NO)I(0R)](R = Ph, C₆H₄Me-p, and C₆H₄CN-p) and [Mo{HB(Me₂pz)₃}XY](X = Y = OPh; X = OPh, Y = OMe, OEt, or NHMe) have been prepared and characterised spectroscopically. The crystal and molecular structures of [Mo{HB(Me₂pz)₃}(NO)I(NHC₆H₄R-p)](R = Me and OMe) have been determined crystallographically.
