Novel reaction of silylaminophosphines with ketones

Abstract

In a process which involves a [1,5] silyl migration from nitrogen to oxygen, treatment of (Me3Si)2-NPMe2 with hexafluoroacetone or acetone itself affords the P–C bonded phosphine imines Me3SiN[double bond, length half m-dash]PMe2[CR2-(OSiMe3)](R = CF3 or Me).
