N5N10-methenyltetrahydrofolate models. One-carbon unit transfer via imidazolidine derivatives

Abstract

Suitably substituted imidazolidinium salts serve as N5N10-methenyltetrahydrofolate models in terms of their ability to transfer a formyl equivalent to a variety of mono- and bi-functional nucleophiles.
