Enamines. Part 40. Carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in the determination of aliphatic enamine configurations

Abstract

The configurations of several enamines have been studied by 13C n.m.r. spectroscopy. The results obtained show that the chemical shift of the β-carbon atom is very sensitive to steric influence, an effect which can be correlated with the enamine configuration.
