Crystal and molecular structure of K2(PdCl3)2·4(1-propylthymine)
Abstract
The crystal and molecular structure of an unusual complex between K2PdCl4 and 1-propylthymine, [K2Pd2Cl6·4(1-propylthymine)], has been determined by X-ray diffraction and shown to contain the structural features of Watson–Crick base stacking, significant hydrogen bonding, K+⋯ O interactions connecting the bases, and a Pd2Cl62– dimer.
