Photoreaction between benzene and hexafluorobenzene
Abstract
Hexafluorobenzene undergoes a photoreaction with benzene to give 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobiphenyl: the process is unusual in that it can be sensitised by naphthalene, is susceptible to polarity effects, and may not involve free C6F5· radicals.
