A new type of organogold compound. The molecular structure of [(π-C5H5)Fe(π-C5H4)Au2(PPh3)2]+[BF4]

Abstract

In the cation [(π-(C5H5)Fe(π-C5H4)Au2(PPh3)3]+ metal atoms form an Au–Au–Fe chain and one carbon atom of the ferrocene cyclopentadienyl ring acts as a bridge between both gold atoms.
