Dithiocarbamate complexes of rhenium(V) and (III)

Abstract

Dithiocarbamate complexes of oxorhenium(V) such as ReOCl2(S2CNEt2)(PPh3), ReOCl(S2CNR2)2, and Re2O3-(S2CNR2)4 have been prepared from ReOCl3(PPh3)2.

The interaction of a variety of chloro-complexes of rhenium with dithiocarbamates leads to the compounds [Re(NPh)(S2CNEt2)2]2O, Re(NPh) Cl(S2CNEt2)2, ReN(S2CNEt2)3, and ReCl2(S2CNEt2)(PPh3)2. The properties and infrared spectra are reported.
