Tricyclo[6,1,0,04,9]nona-2,6-diene (homosemibullvalene). Wolff–Kishner reduction of bicyclo[4,2,1]nona-2,4,7-trien-9-one

Abstract

Wolff–Kishner reduction of bicyclo[4,2,1]nona-2,4,7-trien-9-one resulted in almost quantitative yield of tricyclo[6,1,0,04,9]nona-2,6-diene (homosemibullvalene); its structure was rigorously proved by n.m.r. spectroscopy.
