Some steroidal p-aminophenyl ethers and their N-methyl and NN-dimethyl analogues

Abstract

The synthesis of the 3-O-p-amino-, -p-methylamino-, and -p-dimethylamino-phenyl derivatives of oestrone and oestradiol, and of the p-dimethylaminophenyl ethers of 3β-hydroxyandrost-5-en-17-one and 3β-hydroxypregn-5-en-20-one, from the corresponding p-nitrophenyl ethers, is described.
