The four 5α-androstane-16,17-diols, the two 17-oxo-5α-androstan-16-yl acetates, and 16-oxo-5α-androstan-17β-yl acetate have been prepared. Chemical transformations, together with i.r. and n.m.r. results, establish the structures of these compounds.
