The structure of a new flavone, ‘arthraxin’

Abstract

A new flavone compound called arthraxin has been isolated from Arthraxon hispidus Makino. It has the empirical formula C21H16O9. Based on chemical and physical studies, a structure (1) has been assigned to the compound.
