Elucidation of an electron transfer pathway in the conversion of vic-dibromides to olefins by stabilized carbanions

Abstract

An electron transfer mechanism is indicated, rather than an E2 pathway, for the formation of olefins from the reaction of vic-dibromides and carbanions.
