Infrared spectra (700–200 cm.–1) of some π-cyclopentadienyl–metal carbonyls and their substituted derivatives

Abstract

The i.r. spectra (700–200 cm.–1) of a number of π-cyclopentadienyl–metal carbonyl complexes have been studied. By use of both partially deuteriated and substituted-cyclopentadienyl derivatives, it has mostly been possible to assign low-frequency vibrations of both the π-cyclopentadienyl–metal and metal–carbonyl moieties.
