Electron spin resonance studies of some complexes of manganese(II) with chelating ligands
Abstract
Electron spin resonance spectra are reported for the complexes MnL2X2(L = dipyridylamine or o-phenanthroline, X = Cl, Br, I, or NCS; L = biuret, X = Cl, Br, or I). Distortion parameters D and λ are deduced by comparison of the observed spectra with calculated transitions. Electronic and low-energy vibrational spectra of the compounds are also reported.
