Nitrous oxide complexes: the isolation of pentammine(dinitrogen oxide)ruthenium(II) tetrafluoroborate

Abstract

The product of the reaction between aquopentammineruthenium(II) and nitrous oxide has been isolated and formulated as [Ru(NH3)5N2O](BF4)2,H2O on the basis of i.r. and u.v. spectra and elemental analysis.
