Direct nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen in nitrobenzene with some carbanions

Abstract

Phenylalkylacetonitriles react with nitrobenzene in the presence of bases, yielding products of nucleophilic substitution of the hydrogen in the para-position of nitrobenzene.
