Sulphur analogues of semidine rearrangements

Abstract

Reaction of diphenyl disulphide with trialkyloxonium fluoroborates gives products which closely resemble the products of semidine rearrangements of hydrazobenzenes: the evidence suggests that these compounds are formed by intermolecular, ionic, chain mechanisms.
