Energy transfer in ternary systems

Abstract

In the ternary system, benzene + 2.5 diphenyloxazole (PPO)+ 2.2′-p-phenylene-bis-(5-phenyloxazole)(POPOP), both benzene and PPO molecules transfer their energy to POPOP and the overall transfer efficiency of benzene to POPOP in the presence of PPO depends on the transfer efficiencies for the energy transfer processes in the binary systems benzene + PPO and benzene + POPOP. The effect of PPO-POPOP radiative transfer is discussed.
