Unsymmetrically disubstituted ferrocenes. Part VIII. Synthesis and reactivity of some 2-substituted ferrocenylphosphines

Abstract

The reaction of lithiated (dimethylaminomethyl)ferrocene with chlorodiphenylphosphine gave 2-(dimethylamino-methyl) ferrocenyldiphenylphosphine. This phosphinoferrocene has been converted into a variety of 1,2-disubstituted and 1,2,3-trisubstituted ferrocenes. Chlorodiphenylphosphine has been condensed with 1,1′-dilithio-ferrocene to give 1,1′-bisdiphenylphosphinoferrocene.
