Magnetic properties of some 8-quinolinolato-complexes of copper(II)

Abstract

Susceptibility measurements for the complexes, CuX ox (X = F, Cl, or Br; oxH = 8-quinolinol) over the temperature range 90–370°K indicate that they are magnetically concentrated. The magnetic data suggest that the chloro- and bromo-derivatives contain isolated dimeric units and that CuF ox is a linear polymer; α- and β-Cu ox2 are magnetically dilute.
