Viscosity and molecular association. Part VII. Association of alkyl orthotitanates

Abstract

The viscosities, densities, and vapour pressures of a number of alkyl orthotitanates have been determined, and their molecular complexities have been calculated. Secondary and tertiary alkyl titanates have been found to be nonassociated, whereas primary alkyl titanates are associated in the pure liquid state. Estimates has been made of the alkoxy-bridge enthalpy in the latter compounds.
