Crystal structures of two rhenium(III) cluster halides: Cs3Re3Br12 and CsRe3Cl3Br7(H2O)2

Abstract

Crystal structures, of both Cs3Re3Br12 and CsRe3Cl3Br7(H2O)2 are based on anions with Re3 triangles, the latter compound being the first example of a mixed halid, and the first example containing an anion bearing only a single charge for structures in this class.
