Rotational analysis of bands of the B—X system of gaseous AgI

Abstract

The rotational analysis of five bands of the B—X system (νe= 31194.2 cm–1) of AgI has been obtained. The bands consist of two branches, R and P, so that the transition is O+X1Σ+. Values of the internuclear distances re and 2.544 and 2.6715 Å for states X and B respectively.
