The proton magnetic resonance of some coumarins and 2,2-dimethylchromens: further examples of inter-ring spin–spin coupling

Abstract

A study of the proton magnetic resonance of a number of coumarins and 2,2-dimethylchromens has revealed the presence of inter-ring spin–spin coupling in coumarins and confirmed the existence of a similar long-range coupling in chromens.
